Job title
"Rechtsanwalt", "Rechtsanwältin" and "Notar" are the legal professional titles. They were awarded to the lawyers working in the Hermann Alter law firm and the notary Hermann Alter by the Ministry of Justice of the Federal State of Hesse (Justizministerium des Bundeslandes Hessen).

Avoidance of conflicts of interest
Lawyers are prohibited from representing conflicting interests by professional regulations (Section 43a (4) BRAO). Before accepting a client, we therefore always check whether there is a conflict of interest.

Out-of-court dispute resolution
In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution upon application to the regional bar association (pursuant to Section 73 (2) No. 3 in conjunction with Section 73 (5) BRAO) or to the arbitration board of the bar association at the Federal Bar Association (Section 191f BRAO), which can be found on the Internet via the homepage of the Federal Bar Association (www.brak.de or by e-mail: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).
